Introduction to Stumpwork Workshop

Service Description

In this workshop will will cover creating wired slips and some texture stitches to create 3D elements in your work. This is not suitable for complete beginners to embroidery You will need to bring some plain, light coloured fabric to practice on, some coloured or patterned fabric and some fine paper covered wire for the slips, some embroidery threads, a variety of sharp needles, sharp scissors and 2 hoop frames (1 large and 1 small). There will be some items available to use if you don't have any as well as items to purchase The workshop will be at The Briar Centre in Lightwater Surrey GU18 5AH from 10am-4pm on Thursday Feb 19th and taught by RSN trained tutor Sonja Galsworthy
