This piece was inspired by a lockdown dream where I was falling through a kaleidoscope of colour, when I woke I tried to recreate the feeling in textile form. This 3D sculptured piece is worked in silver and coloured metal threads with long and short colour bursts. The Vortex is wired and stitched to a velvet covered box construction, then mounted inside a deep box frame
